Liberty Global has appointed United as a partner in the processing of its VOD content for several European countries.
United has serviced the VOD service of LG’ssubsidiary Ziggo, now Vodafone Ziggo in which Liberty Global has a 50 % stake. With extensive knowledge of Liberty Global’s video-on-demand systems and effective media management, United is ready for further expansion abroad.
United Digital Services will be providing services to Liberty Global Operating Companies across Europe starting with Virgin Ireland and the majority of all video-on-demand content for Vodafone Ziggo. United said that its Digital Services’ strength “lies in the organisation and linking of processes and systems, while seeking the perfect balance between automation and human contact. Thanks to this content-processing method, the customer is provided with a full-service solution.”
“We have chosen United to be one of our content processing partners due to their excellent reputation, innovative technology and operational excellence. We are confident this relationship will allow Liberty Global to further improve the quality of services we provide to our customers,” according to Conor Andrews, Content Operations Manager VOD Europe at Liberty Global.
