Viacom’s Channel 5 has postponed the launch of its new catch-up channel that was slated for launch later this month.
A spokeswoman for Channel 5 confirmed the postponement to Broadband TV News, adding that further work would now carried out on the channel branding, suggesting that 5Prime may have a different name when it eventually goes to air.
Last month it was announced that 5Prime would replace the linear version of existing catch-up channel My5 across Channel 5’s digital platforms.
A launch is now expected to take place during the first quarter.
