Magine Pro new streaming platform for Draken Film

January 16, 2018 14.36 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Göteborg Film Festival has partnered with platform provider Magine Pro to upgrade their streaming service Draken Film and expand it’s availability on multiple platforms, including iOS and Android apps.

The collaboration between Swedish streaming platform provider, Magine Pro and Draken films means that Draken subscribers can now watch Swedish quality film content on iOS and Android apps via mobile and tablet devices, in addition to Draken’s existing web service. The newly upgraded service and apps will launch January 26th 2018 in connection with the opening of Göteborg Film Festival.

“Our new modular platform makes it easy for small and medium-sized streaming services to quickly get started with a stable and secure service on all distribution platforms without high initial costs,” said Matthew Wilkinson, General Manager at Magine Pro, the Swedish company that delivers streaming solutions for TV and video distributors worldwide.

“Being Sweden’s leading SVOD service for quality film, our audience has high expectations, both in terms of content selection and technical delivery. After a thorough evaluation of the market, we found Magine’s technical platform stands out. Furthermore, their solutions make fast delivery possible, enabling us to launch our service in less than a month and in time for the Gothenburg Film Festival. says Olle Agebro, Draken Film.
