The new period drama Korona Królów (‘Crown of Kings’) is proving to be an on demand sensation for its producer, the Polish public broadcaster TVP.
Launched at the beginning of this year, it was watched over 583,000 times on vod.tvp.pl up to January 8, according to data produced by Gemius/PBI. With 1,914,885 opens between January 1-7, it accounted for almost 20% of all views on TVP.pl.
During transmission times 2,500 of 7,000 active users of the portal were watching the series. Korona Królów is most popular among viewers aged 25-34, who account for over 30% of the total. Nearly 20% of viewers are aged 18-24 and nearly 18% 35-44.
Outside Poland, the series is most watched in the UK, Germany and Ireland, with nearly 60% of viewers being women. The paid-for (pre-premiere) element of Korona Królów is proving to be popular, already accounting for 8,000 transactions.
