The Polish Council of Ministers has adopted a draft amendment to the country’s Telecommunications Law.
The changes, which were proposed by the president of the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE), include, amongst others, the improvement of internet access provided by local government units.
They will be required to offer download speeds of at least 30 Mbps.
In other changes, a court ruling on consumer disputes and overseen by the president of the UKE will be dissolved and replaced by ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution).
The draft changes will now be discussed by the Polish parliament (Sejm).
