ThinkAnalytics is to supply the BBC with a personalised recommendations engine as part of its BBC Personalisation programme.
According to a public filing seen by Broadband TV News, the contract is worth up to £3 million over the initial three-year contract period, with the possibility of two 12-month extensions.
The Glasgow-based recommendations firm fought off competition from eight other suppliers. It already has contracts with Cox Communications, Centurylink, Liberty Global, Rogers, Sky, Swisscom, Singtel, Vodafone and KPN.
BBC Personalisation is delivering recommendations and notifications across the BBC iPlayer.
The tender was launched in July 2017 and will also build on earlier innovations such as the BBC+ app launched on iOS and Android in July 2016.
