The listed holding company Opus Global has made two key investments in Hungary’s TV industry.
According to BBJ, it has indirectly acquired 17% stakes in both the IKO group and ad agency Atmedia through Status Capital Venture Capital Fund Management, in which Opus Global holds a 25% stake.
IKO is the main provider of content for TV2, one of the two main commercial broadcasters in Hungary, while Atmedia sells airtime for – amongst others – TV2 and MTVA, the content provider for the Hungarian public broadcaster.
