Jindrich Fremuth has been appointed the CEO of O2 in the Czech Republic, effective January 1.
Fremuth has been with the company since 2009 and head of its newly established Commercial and Marketing Division since the beginning of this year.
Under his leadership, the commercial division accounted for 90% of the company’s revenues, both in fixed and mobile services, TV, corporate services, recently listed financial services and hardware sales.
Prior to joining O2, Fremuth worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, focusing on technology and communication.
Tomas Budnik, who is stepping down as CEO of O2 Czech Republic after four years in the role, has been at the forefront in the company since PPF became its majority shareholder.
He oversaw its restructuring and return to growth.
