The debut of Viasat World’s Epic Drama is set to become the company’s biggest ever channel and SVOD launch across its key countries and territories.
In a statement, Viasat World says the channel, which made its debut yesterday (December 14), is already being distributed by Cyfrowy Polsat in Poland, RCS in Romania, Digi in Hungary, Slovak Telekom in Slovakia and United Group in Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia. It will also be offered by nc+ in Poland from the beginning of 2018.
Commenting on the launch, Irina Gofman, president and CEO at Viasat World, said: “We are delighted to see the majority of our key operator partners adding Epic Drama to the mix – proof of our commitment to understanding the needs of our clients, and our shared goal of delivering relevant content to audiences. We are confident that Epic Drama’s differentiated proposition will truly make it stand out from the crowd and succeed – giving people access to world-class, acclaimed drama content 24/7, when and where they want it. The launch is indicative of our agility, as an independent broadcaster, to respond to what viewers and partners are looking for, alongside our ambition to grow our overall reach and audience.”
Epic Drama is Viasat World’s 19th content brand and aimed principally at viewers aged 25+.
