The live coverage of German motorsports series DTM will move from ARD to Sat.1: The German commercial channel will show all races live and exclusive from 2018.
The qualifying races will be transmitted as a live-stream on www.ran.de and via the app of Sat.1’s sports brand ran.
“Sat. 1 is a perfect TV channel for DTM and the involved premium manufacturers Audi, BMW and Mercedes. Together, we want to create an innovative and attractive TV concept,” said Achim Kostron, Managing Director of DTM umbrella organisation ITR. The contract has a term of two years.
The 2018 DTM season starts on the first weekend of May at the Hockenheimring and comprises a total of 20 races on 10 weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
