Jana Eisenstein to join ProSiebenSat.1

December 5, 2017 11.27 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Jana Eisenstein will become Executive Vice President of the advertising platform solutions department of German media company ProSiebenSat.1 from January 1, 2018.

Eisenstein who will manage the business together with Jens Mittnacht joins ProSiebenSat.1 from TV and video advertising technology company Videology in London where she was managing director for the EMEA region.

With the expanded management team, ProSiebenSat.1 considers its advertising platform solutions segment to be in an optimum position to steadily advance its internationalisation and future technologies like addressable TV.

Furthermore, ProSiebenSat.1 has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in German social-advertising provider esome advertising technologies. Financial details have not been disclosed. The company bundles the technology and the management of social media campaigns on all social networks, especially Facebook, for advertisers.

In future, the technology will also be used for the KPI-based optimisation of display, video and later for addressable TV. The acquisition is subject to approval by the anti-trust authorities.

ProSiebenSat.1’s other investments and activities in the ad-tech sector include German ad-tech holding company Virtual Minds, video advertising network Smartstream.tv, content marketplace Glomex and – subject to review by anti-trust authorities – influencer marketing platform Buzzbird.
