Orange Belgium to carry Eleven Sports 3

December 4, 2017 12.30 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Orange Belgium and Eleven Sports have signed a deal on the distribution of Eleven Sports 3, the third channel of Eleven Sports, which is included in HD in Orange´s standard digital TV package in Wallonia and certain parts of Brussels.

Eleven Sports 3 brings live football matches from La Liga, Serie A or Ligue 1 which – due to oversupply – cannot be broadcast on Eleven Sports 1 or Eleven Sports 2. In addition, there are many other live sports events that can also be seen on Eleven Sports 3: all of the games from the Euro Hockey League, Cage Warriors and UFC Fighting, Champions League Handball, Premier League Darts and the World Darts Championship are just a few examples.

“We are delighted that we can add Eleven Sports 3 to our offer that consists of a whole series of thematic channels, including sports channels, entertainment, channels specially for the kids… as a result of which Orange Love offers something for everyone,” explained Cristina Zanchi, Chief Consumer Officer of Orange Belgium.

“And so we continue to further expand our offer so that our LOVE customers can continue to enjoy premium content without having to pay anything more.”

“This deal with Orange Belgium ensures that the extra sports content on our third channel will be available in even more Belgian living rooms”, said Anouk Mertens, managing director, Belgium, Eleven Sports.

“And of course we are happy with that, since it remains our ambition to bring our exclusive sports to as many fans as possible in the market.”

In Flanders, Orange uses Telenet´s cable network, but currently there is still no agreement with Telenet on integrating Eleven Sports 3 into the Orange offer in Flanders.
