Ralph Fürther has been appointed the new corporate spokesman of German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland as of December 1, 2017.
In his new position as Senior Vice President Communications, the 53-year-old reports directly to CEO Carsten Schmidt.
Fürther has held various management positions in the company since 1999. He began his career in the sports editorial department, then switched to marketing and has been working in the communications department since 2007.
In July 2017, Fürther took over from Sky corporate spokesman Wolfram Winter on an interim basis following his departure.
Prior to joining Sky (formerly Premiere), Fürther worked as an editor and commentator for Eurosport and Sat.1, as well as media and marketing manager for the German Ice Hockey League.
