Vasyl Latsanych to head Russia’s Beeline

November 28, 2017 11.49 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Vasyl Latsanych has been appointed the CEO of Veon’s operations in Russia, PJSC VimpelCom (Beeline), effective January 10, 2018.

In his new role, he will report to Kjell Morten Johnsen, Veon’s head of markets.

Latsanych has worked for over 16 years in the telecom market, mostly in a number of senior roles at MTS. Most recently, he was group VP for strategy and marketing.

Commenting on the appointment, Johnsen said: “Vasyl brings extensive experience and a proven track record in the telecoms industry. His appointment will further strengthen and develop VEON’s strong market position, particularly as we look to implement important strategic initiatives in a highly dynamic and developing Russian market.”

Latsanych added: “I am excited by the opportunity to lead PJSC VimpelCom, and I am looking forward to working with the team to ensure that Beeline customers are provided with the best digital services and solutions, particularly as the Russian telecoms market enters a new phase of development and digital change.”
