German media company Motor Presse TV brings auto motor und sport channel, its pay-TV channel for car fans, to Scandinavia.
Auto motor og sport TV launched as Norway’s first car channel on pay-TV platform Canal Digital on November 27, 2017, reaching 2.5 million Norwegian households.
The local productions are contributed by Norwegian production company Zip:it AS. Its owner and managing director Bjørn Gravdahl is also heading the team of motor og sport TV. Zip:it will also handle advertising sales and marketing for the new channel.
“We are very thankful and proud to have the opportunity to come to Norway. It’s great to have the chance to cooperate with market leader Canal Digital, to work with the excellent team of Zip:it and, of course, popular Norwegian moderator Asgeir Borgemoen,” said Jörg Schütte, managing director of auto motor og sport TV’s owner Motor Presse TV GmbH.
“We already operate in 21 different countries, but for the first time we are not using our international signal. Instead, Norwegian viewers will be offered a fully localised TV channel containing a large number of Norwegian productions,” said Schütte, adding that the Norwegian productions will also be aired on the international service.
