Susan Elkington takes over from Wayne Dunsford at Horse & Country TV

November 26, 2017 11.16 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Susan Elkington has been appointed as the director of international distribution for Horse & Country TV.

The pay-TV industry veteran, who has held senior-level positions with BBC Worldwide and Liberty Global, will take over from Wayne Dunsford, who will leave the company next month after five years in the role.

Dunsford has led the international expansion of the equestrian sports and lifestyle network over the past five years, spearheading its successful launch across multiple pay-TV platforms reaching over 20 million households in The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Australia, and, most recently, the multi-territory Amazon Channels platform.

“My time at H&C has been hugely rewarding and I am delighted to have had the opportunity to end my professional career helping establish H&C TV as a successful international pay TV network and to work alongside such a dedicated team,” Dunsford said.

Elkingtonwill assume responsibility for the ongoing international expansion of H&C TV along with the development of the network across multiple platforms.

“I am delighted to join the H&C TV team and am looking forward to further develop their international strategy and distribution reach; new distribution technologies will allow us to reach the international demand from participants and fans of equestrian sports and this is an exciting opportunity. Wayne has built a fabulous international base for the channel and I look forward to building on his achievements.’’

Heather Killen, CEO of H&C TV, added: “Over the past five years, H&C has gone from a single-market, single-platform proposition to an international pay-TV business, now rapidly expanding across OTT distribution points. Wayne has steered the company through this expansion and we wish him all the best in his new country pursuits. We are delighted to have Susan join us to take the business forward into its next phase.”
