UPC boosts Slovak HD offer

November 6, 2017 12.03 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

UPC has added several more HD channels to its offer in Slovakia.

Starting Tuesday, November 7, its subscribers will be able to receive Film+ HD, Travel Channel HD, Euronews HD and Hustler HD.

The inclusion of the channels follows on from an expansion in September, which saw Cartoon Network and War TV added to the line-up. As a result, UPC’s digital TV offer now includes over 170 channels, up to 53 of which are in HD.

Commenting on the development, Martin Miller, CEO of UPC in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, said: “UPC launched a new Happy Home offering at the beginning of September, offering endless entertainment for all household members on all connected devices, and we are continuing to fulfill this promise in order to provide a varied and rich programme offering, taking into account customers’ requirements. In order to deliver the ultimate in entertainment experience, all newly added stations are HD-based, so that viewers can enjoy their broadcasts in the highest quality”.
