Magyar Telekom has introduced the highest speed internet package on the Hungarian market, offering customers download speeds of up to 2Gbps.
This is double the maximum speed previously offered by the company, as from November last year.
Magyar Telekom says that it began intensive network development efforts from its owns resources in the spring of 2015, the result of which over 2.9 million households can now use its high-speed broadband network, 760,000 at gigabit speeds.
Upload speeds have meanwhile been increased to a maximum of 500 Mbps.
The new package, part of Magenta 1, can be ordered for HUF11,631 (€37.34) a month for an indefinite period.
