Canal Digital Cable is making its T-We app available on Apple TV.
It allows customers to view 63 Norwegian and international TV channels and an archive of several thousand shows and movies.
“T-We is already available as a separate app on tablets and mobile. Now we are increasing the freedom of choice further and offer the same app via Apple TV. With T-We-app for Apple TV, we have facilitated that the content is available on yet another platform. Therefore, this is a long-awaited service to the public, says Birgit Bjørnsen, head of TV and broadband in Telenor Norway.
The app made its debut in the Apple Store in Wednesday and is suitable for the fourth and fifth generations of the Apple TV box.
Bjørnsen is hoping that the app will appeal to customers who use Apple TV with second sets. A dedicated section allows kids to navigate to the content that is relevant to them.
“The app works very similar variants for phone and tablet. You can choose from more than 60 live channels, identify the preferred content of the various archives and rewind up to two hours of live broadcasts if there is anything you have missed.”
546,000 customers currently take Canal Digital Kabel’s TV services.
