The recently launched Polish home shopping platform tvo (‘your video offer’) has secured carriage on Multimedia Polska, the country’s third largest cable operator.
Tvo was launched on October 2 and describes itself as a national buying and selling platform. It consists of a streaming channel on tvo.pl; dedicated internet service tvo.pl; all-day, free infoline; fixed shops; and several dozen experienced personnel.
It is headed by Michal Ciesla and Olgierd Dobrzynski, a former head of Discovery Networks and Eurosport in CEE and long-time member of TVN’s board.
Distribution on Multimedia Polska gives tvo access to almost 800,000 more viewers.
As it is also available on Cyfrowy Polsat, it now reaches 40% of Polish digital cable and DTH homes.
