The Croatian incumbent Hrvatski Telekom (HT) saw its TV customer total increase by 4.8% in the year to September 30, ending the third quarter with 413,000.
However, TV ARPU fell slightly over the same period, by 1.1% to HRK81 (€10.8). HT Group, which includes the Montenegrin operator Crnogorski Telekom, had revenues of HRK5,785 million (+11.6%) in Q3, of which broadband and TV accounted for HRK1,084 million (+9.9%). EBITDA after exceptional items was HRK2,243 million (+9.4%) and the net profit margin 12.7% (-1.8 percentage points).
Commenting on the results, Davor Tomaskovic, president of the management board of HT, pointed out:?“I am more than satisfied with the results achieved in the nine months of 2017. The strong financial results will allow us to continue investing and thus build firm foundations for next generation services and premium customer experience. The growth of the TV services customer base shows that, by means of our new TV platform introduced in the second half of this year, which includes top picture quality, interactivity, a new interface, and full integration with mobile devices, we have provided our customers with a unique service fully adjusted to their expectations. We successfully supported strong growth of data traffic during the tourist season and at the same time provided increased speeds in the mobile and fixed networks.
“In the periods to come, we will continue investing into the network and into the digital transformation of our company as prerequisites for the best customer experience and a premium position in the local and regional market.”
