Russia’s leading pay-TV operator Tricolor TV has failed to reach an agreement with Amedia TV for the distribution of the latter’s channels.
As a result, reports Kommersant, it has already dropped two of the channels – A1 HD and A2 – from its offer, while Amedia Hit and Amedia Hit HD will only be available to its subscribers until the end of this month.
Although Tricolor TV says its decision to stop carrying the channels is due to their low viewing figures, Amedia TV believes it is down to the commercial terms being offered.
However, the two parties have worked together since October 2014 and the DG of Amedia TV has said that negotiations between them are still continuing.
