Slovak Telekom is closing in on Skylink’s position as the leading provider of pay-TV services in Slovakia.
According to Satelitnatv, quoting a press conference in Bratislava, the telco currently has a combined total of 581,000 TV subscribers to its Magio TV, Magio Sat and Digi TV services.
This represents an increase of 12.4%, or 64,000, on the Q3 2016 figure.
Meanwhile, Skylink has around 600,000 active cards in Slovakia.
Magio TV has added 15 SD and 10 HD channels to its offer this year, while DTH subscribers have seen their offer grow by five SD and eight HD channels. In other developments, five HD channels were added to Magio Go and the Magio Go Android app was enhanced by a number of new features.
Slovak Telekom’s future plans for its TV services include the introduction of a new UI for IPTV subscribers.
