MIPCOM 2017 – CANNES. German media company Your Family Entertainment (YFE) has made its children’s and family channel Fix&Foxi available across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
A strategic deal was signed during MIPCPM 2017 with Telekom Austria Group for the uplink and satellite distribution of the pay-TV service. The channel will be uplinked from the Austrian telco’s earth station Aflenz onto the Eutelsat 16A satellite at 16° East.
From October 16, 2017, TV platform operators across Central and Eastern Europe can receive Fix&Foxi from Eutelsat 16A and add it to their pay-TV packages.
The channel mainly targeting kids between 5 and 11 years of age launched in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on December 1, 2014 and was subsequently rolled out to international markets including the USA and Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.
