‘The Fashion Hero’ goes broadcast and streaming

October 15, 2017 13.54 Europe/London By Robert Briel

MIPCOM 2017 – CANNES. Beauty World Search, the Canadian production company behind new TV series and disruptive global social media movement The Fashion Hero have announced a raft of new international broadcast and streaming partners for the series.

RTL2 – part of RTLKlub in Hungary – will air the series in prime time this autumn and winter following the agreement of an innovative win-win revenue-share model.

In the US, viewers of ad-supported VOD platforms Tubi TV and Vudu Movies On Us will be able to stream The Fashion Hero via Android and iOS mobile devices, and on OTT devices such as Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Sony, PlayStation 4, Samsung and Amazon Fire TV.

The new partners join the previously announced TLT cable channel in Venezuela and Amazon Prime Video (UK, US and Germany) in streaming the series.

In addition, Amazon Prime Video viewers in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Austria, Luxembourg, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Liechtenstein, Ireland, South Africa, Iceland, Belize, South Tyrol and Switzerland will join those in the UK, US and Germany in streaming the series, bringing the total territories for the worldwide premiere of The Fashion Hero on Amazon Prime Video, up to 19 territories.

Beauty World Search recently announced the completion of a global independent distribution network of TV sales agents for the finished series and format. The company’s innovative business model aims to introduce new ways of distribution and is centred around a proven low risk, high revenue share approach for broadcasters, platforms and producers.

“As ‘The Fashion Hero’ global movement grows to over one million followers on Facebook and diversity is on everyone´s lips, it is the perfect time to roll out this feel-good series and format. It will not only disrupt the fashion industry, but it will also bring both viewers and revenues back to broadcasters struggling with both” said Jan Salling, CEO Missing Link Media and Head of Global Sales for The Fashion Hero.

The Fashion Hero is a TV series format and a global fan-based, social media movement to celebrate diversity and disrupt the Fashion industry. Charismatic participants from around the world compete before a panel of renowned world class designers to feature as role models in their forthcoming international advertising campaigns.
