Eight foreign channels will be banned in Kazakhstan on October 11.
According to AKTR and Zakon, quoting Almatv, the channels in question – KBS World, ATV TV, TV5, Bloomberg, RT Documentary, RT Documentary HD, Russia Today and Belarus 24 – did not pass the obligatory registration of their representations in Kazakhstan.
This runs counter to national legislation, and as a result the channels will be excluded from digital cable and satellite packages, as well as internet TV.
