A growing number of TV stations in Slovakia are now seeking carriage fees from operators.
However, Medialne reports that due to their lower viewing figures they are adopting a more cautious approach than that already taken by Markiza and Joj, the country’s two leading commercial broadcasters.
It adds that the stations now also seeking fees include Ta3, Senzi, Rebel and Relax, with the news being confirmed by the cable industry associations APKT and SAKT.
Carriage fees will be one of the issues discussed at the upcoming Broadband TV News/SES business briefing in Bratislava on October 26.
