Euronews appoints Eurosport’s Caroline de Tauriac

October 2, 2017 17.46 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Euronews is reframing its Partnerships Department, and has appointed Eurosport’s Caroline de Tauriac Head of Partnerships.

De Tauriac is joining Euronews Group to develop a new approach to partnerships, designed to build awareness of Euronews and Africanews and intensify their presence through strategic and international partnerships.

In line with the group’s strategy, editorial position and the sales goals of each of its media platforms, she will devise trade-marketing and event-based operations to generate fresh partnership opportunities that will give the group visibility during major international events.

Caroline de Tauriac’s remit will also involve strengthening the group’s brands by building trusting relationships with partners in a range of sectors, especially business and finance, new technology, energy, tourism, culture, luxury goods, and sport.

Based at the group’s Paris offices, Caroline de Tauriac reports to Carolyn Gibson, Chief Revenue Officer.

“Now that Euronews has signed a strategic agreement with NBC News, and Africanews has a solid foothold in its market, Euronews Group has everything in place to become a key partner of large-scale events and prestigious customers<” said Gibson.

“Caroline brings us extensive experience and operational skills in event communications, marketing and management. In addition, her understanding of the pan-regional media market and the needs of sales, distribution and editorial teams will enable her to design relevant projects that benefit both our group and our current and future partners.”

“Joining a team motivated by the prospects for the future EuronewsNBC brand and by the extraordinary Africanews adventure is a very exciting career opportunity. There is considerable potential for partnerships, and I am delighted to be providing support in positioning the group to work with renowned partners,” added Caroline de Tauriac.
