Canal + Group has given details of its 4K/Ultra HD content offer that will be available through the new Apple TV 4K device.
The broadcaster will show a daily match from the French football league, alongside original productions including the most recent seasons of Le Bureau des Légendes and Kaboul Kitchen. Also featured are episodes of Versailles, The Young Pope, Jour Polaire and Les Guerriers de l’Ombre.
The offer is made to existing Canal subscribers that have an Apple TV 4K device, a compatible TV, the latest version of the myCanal app and a broadband connection of at least 20Mbps.
The 4K/Ultra HD offer will soon be extended for iPad, MacBook and iMac.
It already features Dolby Digital+ 5.1 high quality audio.
Canal is working with ATEME and ANEVIA on the encoding of live and on demand video feeds, describing them as the proud standardbearers of French excellence in this field.
