German TV production and sales company Tele München Group (TMG) has purchased a stake in Load Studios.
The deal of which financial details have not been disclosed marks another step in diversifying TMG’s core business into the digital segment of the media industry, according to the company. TMG and Load Studios are planning to jointly create new revenue streams in the digital content segment.
Load Studios is a media company specialised in the creation and distribution of short-form content for social and mobile platforms and brands. The company is based in Berlin and was founded in early 2017 by Dr Georg Ramme. Ramme previously worked as Global Managing Director for Endemol Shine Group where he headed the development of the group’s worldwide digital activities.
TMG takes a significant minority stake in Load Studios and both companies will closely cooperate. Load Studios’ founder and Managing Director Georg Ramme will continue to oversee all operational tasks while Bernd Wendeln, TMG’s Head of Corporate Development & M&A, will serve as chairman of Load Studio’s board.
