MB Live TV, a new TV channel “dedicated to mountains” will be available free-to-air on Astra at 19.2 degrees East from September 26.
From Mont-Blanc to the Himalayas, MB Live TV brings all facets of mountaineering, aimed at amateurs, explorers, sportsmen and adrenaline addicts.
“We created MB Live TV for all those who live and dream of Mont-Blanc, whether they were born there, have made the choice to live there or dream of coming back. MB Live TV will enable us to share our passion for outdoor activities, to showcase a certain lifestyle and to promote the wealth of economic innovation in our territory,” said Fabien Baunay, CEO of MB Live TV.
“Satellite broadcasting is crucial to reach our audiences, of course locally in the mountainous regions of Mont-Blanc, Val d’Aosta and in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, but also to carry our ambition of national reach. That’s why we chose Astra, which guarantees us optimal coverage of these territories and the widest possible audience.
We are delighted to welcome MB Live TV to our flagship Astra 19.2 degrees East orbital position, which reaches 88% of satellite homes in France.” commented Nick Stubbs, VP Western Europe of SES and Managing Director of Astra France.
“MB Live TV can thus reach all its audiences in optimal quality, whether at the national level, in mountainous landlocked territories, or in cross-border areas in Switzerland and Italy.”
