German sports channel Sport1 will continue to show car racing series ADAC GT Masters in the next three years.
The broadcaster renewed its collaboration with race organiser ADAC and obtained the exclusive TV rights for Germany and the co-exclusive TV rights for Austria and Switzerland. Financial details were not disclosed.
All races of the GT series will be shown from 2018 until 2020 on the established slot on Saturdays and Sundays live from 13.00 CET on free-to-air channel Sport1. The channel will in future also transmit the qualifying rounds of the ADAC GT Masters on its platforms live.
In addition to the ADAC GT Masters, the two motorsports series ADAC Formel 4 and ADAC TCR Germany will also be shown on free-to-air TV and on further Sport1 platforms.
Also part of the agreement is a weekly highlights programme following the racing weekends as well as coverage of the yearly ADAC sports gala on free-to-air TV.
