Poland’s leading cable operator UPC Polska has signed a cooperation agreement with the mobile company Play.
As a result, it will start offering its subscribers mobile services.
Commenting on the development, Jørgen Bang-Jensen, the president of Play, said: “Co-operation with UPC is a continuation of Play’s strategy to successfully tap into new customer segments by working with virtual operators, especially cable operators, for which mobile services are a natural complement to their existing packet offerings”.
Frans-Willem de Kloet, CEO UPC Polska, added: “UPC Polska’s partnership with Play is another step in our strategy to increase the mobility of our services, enabling our customers to increasingly access the highest quality digital television and unlimited high-speed internet”.
Play says that UPC Polska’s decision to choose it as a technology partner is proof of Play’s flexible approach with other operators. This is proven by the fact that Play remains the preferred network for most virtual networks in Poland.
