After two years of service, French VOD platform Afrostream is to close down its service.
In a letter to its subscribers Afrostream said: “Unfortunately, our passion and combined efforts have not been matched by sufficient funds to allow us to raise the financial investments necessary to continue this entrepreneurial adventure and to develop this cultural mission that was so close to our hearts.”
All current subscriptions will be honoured, but no more extension are possible.
The SVOD service offers African, African-American and African-Caribbean films and television series.
