iKO Media Group has signed a distribution agreement with Khabar Agency.
As a result, it will be offering the latter global distribution services for Kazakh TV content to Europe via Hotbird, North America via Galaxy 19 and Asia via Asiasat 5.
Commenting on the development, Rami Goldberg, VP sales EMEA, iKO Media Group, said: “Kazakh TV is an important strategic customer for iKO and we have pulled all our commercial and technical resources in order to come up with a tailored and highly effective solution to meet their specific needs. Our ability to create dedicated solutions depending on our clients’ needs is a core value that sets iKO apart from other service providers”.
Andrey Tarakov, director of Kazakh TV, added: “The partnership with iKO will allow us to grow our distribution to over three continents and reach millions of TV viewers over the world. In addition, iKO’s flexible and advanced infrastructure is one of key component of Kazakh TV’s new broadcasting model with an around the clock coverage in English, Russian, Kazakh and Kyrgyz languages that will be available already by next month”.
Khabar Agency is the public broadcaster in Kazakhstan and operates three channels in Kazakh, Russian and English.
