Ukraine’s first-ever telecommunications satellite Lybid is now expected to be launched in early 2018.
According to Mediasat, the latest update was provided to Interfax by representatives of the Kazakh Baikonur cosmodrome.
Once fully operational, Lybid will be located at 48 degrees East and have a service lifetime of 15 years.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, the Canadian-built Lybid’s launch was put back due to Russia’a annexation of Crimea.
