Magyar Telekom has introduced an integrated Magenta 1 package that primarily targets young people.
It allows users to maintain fixed-line internet with a minimum download speed of 100Mbps, a selection of HD channels and a mobile telephony package of their choice, by replacing the fixed line telephone with more or even unlimited mobile internet.
Magyar Telekom notes that numerous research findings show that the communication habits of generation Y differ substantially from older generations. As of last year, 95% of young adults born between 1980 and 1995 owned mobile phones. Over 80% used smartphones and nine out of 10 the internet every day.
Commenting on the new integrated package, Rékasi Tibor, chief officer of Magyar Telekom responsible for residential services, said: “By regularly assessing our researches and the feedback from customers we are determined to tailor our portfolio to meet the constantly changing needs. Therefore we make the highly popular Magenta 1 package with favourable terms even more tailored: from now on Magenta 1 subscribers can choose a higher or even unlimited mobile data package, as a replacement of the fixed line telephone”.
