The Czech DTH platform Flix TV will complete its transition to HEVC technology by this Wednesday, September 6.
According to the company, it began the process in April, when 14 channels were turned into H.265.
Flix TV has already supplied its customers with HEVC compatible boxes.
It adds that even with the new technology it still provides new equipment and installation for only CZK1 (€0.04).
Flix TV was launched in the Czech Republic in March 2016 and is now also available in Slovakia.
By moving to HEVC, it expects to provide its customers with more SD and/or HD channels from the Eutelsat 16 degrees East position.
