Ukrkosmos will help launch a satellite network serving regional broadcasters in Ukraine on September 11.
According to Mediasat, it will be known as Krajina TB and allow around 20 TV channels from around the country, who have signed an MoU, to exchange copyrighted programmes and their own content.
Ukrkosmos will provide the use of its teleport, with the transmission and distribution of signals being underatken via Spacecom’s Amos-7 (4 degrees West) satellite.
There will be a test period of three months and it is expected that in the future Krajina TB could form the basis of a satellite platform for regional TV.
