German IPTV platform waipu.tv has expanded its line-up by 12 new TV channels, most of them offered in HD quality.
The additions are CNBC, Melodie TV, Insight TV, Bibel TV, QVC, HSE24, 1-2-3.tv, XITE, MTV, sonnenklar.tv and Health TV as well as – from September 2, 2017 – Chilledge from Mediakraft. The multi-channel network bundles content from its online video partner sites on this channel. In total, waipu.tv now offers 70 channels.
A new feature provided by waipu.tv is the possibility to customise the selection and allocation of the channels on the electronic programme guide (EPG). The individual EPG will automatically appear across all devices used by the customer including the EPG on Amazon Fire TV.
Also, the recording function deactivated for the channels of broadcast group ProSiebenSat.1 for copyright reasons shortly after waipu.tv’s launch has been reactivated. A growing selection of programmes broadcast by ProSiebenSat.1’s channels can now be recorded again.
Following the strong usage of the TV recording function, waipu.tv has increased the storage capacity on the cloud-based PVR offered in its subscription packages Comfort and Perfect. Users of the Comfort bouquet can now record 25 instead of 10 hours and Perfect users 100 instead of 50 hours. The monthly subscription prices of the packages remain unchanged at €4.99 and €14.99 respectively.
