The Hungarian regulator NMHH has fined Magyar Telekom HUF75 million (€245,800) for incorrectly introducing a new product named ‘Flip Home’.
In a statement, NMHH says it launched an investigation into the product 10 days after its launch on May 16 (as reported by Broadband TV News) this year and concluded that it did not comply with the principles of transparency, equal treatment, cost-orientation and fees control and access.
It adds that although Magyar Telekom amended the product on May 28, it was still questionable.
The NMHH argues that the telco failed to make Flip Home available to other providers on a wholesale basis, as was required.
Although NMHH says its decision is final, Magyar Telekom can request for it to be reviewed in court.
