Elemental is planning a series of demos around HDR, OTT and VOD.
At IBC 2017 (Amsterdam September 14-19) the Amazon-owned tech firm will show how to deliver a broadcast of HDR 10 and HLG channels using any combination of HLG, HDR 10 and SDR source content.
AWS Elemental Live enables broadcasters to launch HDR channels with a mix of existing SDR and HDR content, including promotions, advertisements, motion graphic overlay and program content.
Its live channel playout is based on a software run approach that reduces video workflow complexity, improves resiliency and lowers operational costs. The system also makes it possible to create liner or even-based channels on-premises or in the cloud, including motion graphic overlay and seamless switching between live and source files.
Even the largest of VOD content libraries can be managed as a single AWS Elemental Delta node. Up to one million VOD assets can be stored in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and each associated with a thumbnail and metadata.
