The fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor has pushed the price point of pay-per-view sport events in the US to a record $99.95.
The much publicised fight, which took place in T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip on Saturday August 26, 2017, could be watched on Showtime PPV, as well as a variety of other media, including UFC TV, the PlayStation Store and Sling as well local cable or satellite provider in the US.
In the UK Sky Sports offered it for £19.95, while in Ireland the euro price was set at €24.95. By comparison, viewers in the Netherlands could buy a Fox Sports day pass for just €7.95.
