A second transitional DVB-T2 multiplex has been launched in the Czech Republic.
According to Parabola, it is operated by Digital Broadcasting, which also operates the country’s fourth multiplex, and covers only Prague and environs.
It adds that the new transitional multiplex (13) will gradually widen its coverage to other parts of the Czech Republic, starting with Ostrava and environs and then Brno.
The first transitional DVB-T2 multiplex is operated by Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRa) and broadcasts a total of 14 TV channels.
The Czech Republic will complete the transition to the DVB-T2 standard in 2020.
