Poland’s Cyfrowy Polsat enjoyed a good second quarter financially despite posting mixed subscriber figures.
Its revenues in Q2 amounted to €587 million, up from €579.3 million in the corresponding period last year, while the net profit was €66.8 million (€54.7 million).
Meanwhile, Cyfrowy Polsat’s RGU total (EOP), including contract and pre-paid, stood at 16,273,840 as of the end of Q2, down 2.6% on the same period last year.
In the contract sector, the number of pay-TV RGUs was 4,817,543 (+4.8%), of which Multiroom accounted for 1,051,692 (+9.1%).
However, the total number of customers (EOP), at 5,819,386, was 0.7% lower than a year earlier, Looking at online video, the group’s Ipla website and app had an average monthly number of unique users of 3.5 million both in the second and first quarters of this year.
