Tele2 and Viasat have launched a joint pay-TV service in Estonia that includes local channels no longer available free-to-air and popular foreign sports and film channels.
According to Kristjan Seema, Tele2’s sales and marketing director, it allows customers to use the internet and receive a TV signal throughout Estonia.
Unlike cable internet, it is not constrained by geographic restrictions, with 4G internet coverage now standing at 96% of Estonia’s territory.
Tanel Taal, the head of marketing and communications at Viasat, added that for €25 a month customers can receive over 25 Estonian and foreign channels plus unlimited 4G internet, in the ‘Silver’ package.
For €28 a month, the ‘Golden’ package offers them around 40 channels, including Russian, sports and film services.
There is no connection fee and the cost of the service also includes rental and equipment installation.
