Brynhild Vinskei – User Experience – the heart of OTT success

August 17, 2017 08.49 Europe/London By Brynhild Vinskei

Just about all aspects of the OTT industry are being massively restructured. Rapid changes in technology, user behaviour, and business models, have created a gap between how consumers want to experience and pay for entertainment & media and how companies produce and distribute their offerings.

A key ingredient to success in OTT today is to establish a one-to-one relationship with consumers and deliver a personalized experience across all devices with targeted and relevant content. As the line between internet TV consumption and content creation blurs due to shifting viewing models, providers need to ensure they’re building long-term value with viewers and start creating fans rather than just viewers.

Scandinavia is a hotbed for the development and adoption of digital technologies. High levels of investment in innovation and R&D, a design heritage which emphasizes functionality and simplicity and openness to innovation have made the Nordics home to one of the world’s foremost digital industries. Today, the primary objective for growth and investment strategies in the Nordics is the hunt to create the most compelling, engaging, and intuitive user experiences— and technology, flexibility, accessibility and data lie at their center.

User Experience is taking center stage at Nordic TV Summit 2017. At the 2017 Nordic TV Summit in Copenhagen, September 28th we will take a deep dive into the trends, technologies and behaviours shaping the future of TV as well as exploring successful tactics in the face of personalizing the internet tv experience to engage and interact with consumers. What will it take to survive and thrive? How can user experience become the heart of your OTT success?

The Summit, attracts a veritable “who’s who” of the OTT, interactive TV, Media, Entertainment, and broadcasting industries across Europe and other parts of the world wanting to be inspired by the digital savvy market in the Nordics as well as listen to and meet industry peers from across the world.

Register today at www.nordictvsummit.com and join a Summit that will feature a series of keynotes from Nordic service providers, major international providers, OTT players and research analysts who will address key issues facing the industry today and in the future, see the agenda for more details at the website.
