Digi Slovakia will provide its subscribers with up to seven sports channels in its basic package solely in HD from the beginning of September.
This, according to Roman Vavrik, its director of sales and marketing, will be unmatched by any other operator in Slovakia.
Digi Slovakia began testing an HD version of the channel Digi Sport 5 earlier this week. It will from September 1 form part of an all-HD sports channel line-up that will also include Digi Sport 1-4, as well as Sport 1 and Sport 2.
Until now, all seven services have only been available in SD in Digi Slovakia’s basic package.
Digi Slovakia was launched in 2006 and has been owned by Slovak Telekom since September 2013.
It provides its customers DTH, cable and internet TV services.
