Vodafone executive Alan Harper is to take temporary charge of Avanti Communications after it was announced CEO David Williams was to leave the company.
Harper joined the satellite data communications firm in March. He worked at Vodafone as Group Strategy Director and more recently founded and ran Eaton Towers, which served a number of telcos in the market.
Chairman, Paul Walsh said: “We are grateful to David Williams for the contribution he has made to the business since it was founded. He has led the Company through extremely challenging circumstances and market conditions. Avanti remains a world-class technology enterprise with a world-beating technical team in which significant latent value endures.”
Avanti will now begin the search for a full-time replacement.
