German cable operator Unitymedia will use the capacity vacated by its analogue switch-off in early July 2017 for the carriage of further TV channels.
The additions are Health.tv, Welt der Wunder TV and God.tv in SD resolution and QVC Beauty & Style in HD quality. Furthermore, German regional public channels NDR Fernsehen and BR Fernsehen will be distributed in HD quality across Unitymedia’s whole coverage zone.
The changes will take place on the Change Day on which Unitymedia allocates 95% of the TV and radio channels on its cable network new channel numbers.
The transition will be performed in three waves in the three federal states covered by the Liberty Global subsidiary: on August 29, 2017 in North-Rhine Westphalia, on September 5 in Hessen and on September 12 in Baden-Württemberg.
